Portsmouth to Genoa

I am driving a Zoe down from Portsmouth to Genoa in Italy.

Do you know if most charging points will insist on RFID cards or whether I will be able to charge up for free or using an iPhone app?

Where would one get these cards?

Yes, they do. But all indications suggest it will cost a small fortune, and a MBA in administration, to amass all the cards you will need.

If you thought UK charring infrastructure was poorly planned, all accounts indicate it is far worse on the continent.

You should log into leaftalk.co.uk (you might also try myrenaultzoe.com/index.php/forums) where some of those adventurous souls have attempted this. No point taking the word of Fluence owners on such a subject!!

How about ... Portsmouth to Dover, 129 miles.
Dover to Ostend, ask for a trickle charge off the ship's system and recharge once across.
Ostend to 's Hertogenbosch another 129 miles.
Car train 's Hertogenbosch to Livorno: http://www.autoslaaptrein.nl/bestemm...italie/livorno, on trickle charge.
Livorno to Genova 110 miles.

With an NEDC range of 130 miles, you can supposedly do each leg on one charge!

Interesting idea but that train is very costly. I wish these charging points were simple to access, like a normal Credit Card if they want payment...
