I have a Jan 2012 Fluence, I think there are a lot of older ones...
Only on the continent. RHD Fluence was launched in March 2012. the Jan 2012 models were all pre-launch press/demo vehicles.
I would've MOT'd mine by now - had it not broken down and I kept it! I hate MOTs in winter time. Cold, wet, messed up interiors with mechanics getting their wetted, greased boots in and out.
It was a habit I developed years ago when always having to patch up exhaust boxes with putty and lashing all the rusty bits in grease to try to hide them! Far easier and nicer to do that in the dry warm months. Just lose 6 months MOT and get it done in summer. You know it makes sense!!
As a pure aside - with a 'new' car I would always cash in the tax disc and reapply for a new licence in February. I never understood why people had tax discs that ran from anything other than March-March. No sure if DVLA ever sussed why I (or others?) do that, but you can only do that with a change of keeper now.
