46000 miles

Just passed the 46000 miles mark! My battery contract is due for renewal late December, let`s see what happen... I don`t expect any change on the agreement.
Up to now it has been a delightful 46000 mile ride with no problems, my battery degradation is around 5% which is not to bad, considering some very hot weather encountered.

I'm very impressed. When you say battery degradation is about 5 per cent, what sort of range do you currently/did you previously get?

those 5% were measured by a Renault dealer, which might seem a litle bit doubtful, but it must be wright since I`m getting an average of 85 miles/per charge. In the begining I could get around 90/95.

RE: 46000 miles

Just got word from Renault about the renewal of my battery rental...
I proposed them several scenarios, including buying a second EV, the zoe, if they would sell me the fluence battery!
NO WAY. They are willing to sell me the zoe WITH batteries but they said that for the fluence, that`s never gonna happen
I could sense some interest from Renault to sell the batteries, but the deal was failed by RCI.
So...for now I`m going to renew another two years (not buying the zoe), and in two years will see.... One thing is for sure: it will be very dificult for me to ever sell this car...I want to keep it!! And I have a few more ideas that I`ll use by the end of these two years....
Just as a reference, the trade value of the car right now was only 5000 !!!

With the new period - did they remember to reduce the battery value (as per the T&Cs)? Like you, the value to you far exceeds the offer and unlikely to be of interest. You'd make more in selling spare parts and they know it!

RE: 46000 miles

They did... the battery is now valued around 5500 pounds from an initial 6500, which is not much for devaluation
