IF it is THE fault that several owners experienced, then it's no use to clear it at all. If will return cause there is a loss of isolation from the motor brushes to chassis potential - which needs to be fixed.
You can try to dry out the motor as well as possible (worked for me), then it may reset so you can give it a full charge at least. Then you should see the dealer and have him checked the car, and possibly exchanged the motor under warranty.
