Delivery Dates

Just wondering if anyone knows when deliveries of the Zoe will likely arrive in the UK.

This is what I know:
1. At the launch, the various press reports said September or October 2012, but I imagine this referred to deliveries in France.
2. The Renault ZE website for the UK used to say 'Autumn 2012' or some similar wording.
3. I pointed out to Andy Heiron at EcoVelocity that the Fluence arrived late at dealers and I thought that it was more than likely the Zoe would also be late. He didn't disagree.
4. The Renault ZE website yesterday said 'End of 2012'. Looking today I can't see that written anywhere (though I might just be blind this evening) - it just says 'Reservations Open'.
5. I spoke to a salesman at Marshall Renault Milton Keynes yesterday. They have no Zoes available for test drive (though I'm having a go with a Fluence and Twizy next week) and suggested January 2013 as most likely first delivery.

Meanwhile I came across this link today - it's old (2nd March) but has more production detail on what's happening in the Flins factory than I've found elsewhere:

"This wave of 52 prototype was completed Wednesday and, as of yesterday, on the same lines, operators were beginning to assemble the future Clio IV,...The second wave of prototypes will start in five weeks and the car will be presented in March at the Geneva Motor Show and marketed in the second half."

RE: Delivery Dates

Bad news for those of us in the UK I'm afraid, and maybe for everyone.

Today the UK website says 'Early 2013' (you'll need to click on the ZE tab):

As far as I know Renault have said nothing official, but the date keeps slipping back...

I read today in a french Zoe forum of one guy who talked to a Renault dealer who confirmed him a delivery date not before Feb 2013....

The dealer also said that the reservations will not have an influence on delivery. Those who order on the fair in Paris will get their Zoe first...well...

RE: Delivery Dates

That is bad news - if they don't deliver in France before Feb 2013 then I imagine a right-hand drive version will be even later.

The reservations should count - though if it wasn't for right-hand drive, I'd be tempted to visit the Paris fair just to get delivery sooner.

Update from the French forum:

one member got a confirmative email from a Renault representative, that those who reserved will get the info about the start of the order process 3 weeks in advance.

RE: Delivery Dates

That's 3 weeks in advance of when ordering starts, but I guess there's no indication of when that might be?

I'm very disappointed in the delay - I'm virtually counting the days! I'm planning to write a blog on the Zoe and my experiences, but it looks like I won't get one for another 6 months.

I found this site today about the Zoe - it's pretty good. It's mostly a combination of content from other sites, including Wikipedia, but it's convenient to have it collected in one place:

In the french forum they were doing the following math:

Mondiale Paris opens Sep 29, 3 weeks before is Sep 8, so you'll get the EMail with the order process end of next week...wait and see

Thanks, this is really a very good collection of infos!

I hope but doubt it. Zoe comes to Denmark next year

I have started work on my Zoe website. If there are no objections I'll post progress on this forum (in a dedicated thread so people can ignore it if they want to!).
