Twizy is making a bleep noise?

Hi,

Just found this forum after becoming an owner of the Twizy here in the UK and love the vehicle been receiving some great feedback when out and about on the roads.

Having only had the Twizy for 3 days now today when driving an audible bleep is sounding on and off constantly, it reminds me of a reversing bleep/seat belt alarm having checked the dashboard no error lights are lit and all seatbelts where connected yet the bleep carry's on.

Has anyone else experienced this? Typical I have left the user manual indoors so not able to reference that at the moment but the vehicle keeps driving as one expects so not sure whats going on here?!?

Thanks in advance
Sam

You are lucky I am still waiting delivery of mine nearly 50 days. The Twizy handbook is available on line from the Renault UK site in PDF format should you want to read it.

Just cannot remember where.

Please tell us what the bleeping is when you find out. I do know that it beeps when the battery is low. Perhaps there is a fault on that circuit and it is giving a false reading.

RE: Twizy is making a bleep noise?

Hi Chris,

Appears to be so... our local dealers said 4-6 weeks wait perhaps it depends on the model and colour for the extended delays? This one was delayed by a week or so but after a call to Renault UK they provided us with an eta and then next thing we had call saying car will be in Monday. Signed the paperwork and the car was dropped to us as the dealer we went to was just out side the 50 mile range haha

Will keep you posted on the bleep, going to do some checks now

My dealer said 10-14 days as they could only go on what the system said. Renault Uk were no use and could not tell me when the car would arrive. Appears they all came together on the same boat. Mine is at the dealers now. Arrived at the Derby hub on Monday.

RE: Twizy is making a bleep noise?

Just popped out for a lunch run to Mac D's for the office team and found that the bleeping noise is a pedestrian/ vehicle awareness bleep you can switch on and off.

Its located on the light stick and is a second twist button you can turn on and off which is great if you are going through busy streets with pedestrians around as the Twizy is silent in operation.

I must have switched it on when playing around with the dash clock this morning....

Interesting as I cannot see that in the handbook. Wish I had car to play with.

From the online handbook i could not locate it but on a French Renault site with the help of Google i managed to loosely translate the word and then had a look in the car and found the switch.

I will post some images later showing the on and off setting as well as the location ;-)

I have highlighted the attached imaged in green for the part of the light stick that controls the bleep, to turn on twist this part forwards and you will hear the bleep and switch back to turn off.

Hope this helps any one who like me this morning switched it on when playing around with the controls....
