A few days ago, Zero Carbon World decided not offer their charge points on the OLEV grant scheme. That left me looking for another vendor of "free" charge points.
British Gas user reports are generally negative. I don't want to risk it. As a renter I can't afford to clean up the mess left by a sloppy installer.
Schnieder Electric are installing the BMW wall charger for a minimum of £350 after the £1000 grant. The BMW wallbox is a huge ugly thing too. No thank you.
I've heard a few good things about the Rollec Wall pod. ZCW use the Rolec wall pod for their commercial sites.
DAS Technologies are offering a Rolec Wall pod under the OLEV grant scheme. A basic 16Amp unit is "free" and a 32Amp pod is a £100 upgrade. DAS charge reasonable rates if additional work is required and where possible they tell you the charges upfront. I've attached their survey form to this post.
DAS are hoping to be approved to install the ZCW domestic stations (the one I wanted) but that may or may not happen.
I applied a few days ago. I'll update this thread when I hear back from them.
