RE: Zoe Chameleon charger in a Fluence ?
Funnily enough, it happens 33% of the time - my usual bay is unavailable or the Chargepoint has an issue. The benefit here is that there are 6 bays at the centre, and their private wardens actively discourage ICEing by writing a ticket (the bags are well marked too). When the Chargepoint is out of commission there are a further 4 to try, and a different car park has 2 x 13a Electrobay posts so I can drag out my brick and have a slow charge at 10a, but in the last 4 months I've never needed this as a fallback - but it remains an option.
I agree my usage may not be typical, but it use my Plugsurfing map app before I go to check out nearby posts I could use at my destination, I'm rarely disappointed (although Edinburgh was a pain until I discovered the University in the city allowed free parking and charging for EV's).
Mind you, Rapid Chargers appear to be a liability with many out of service.
