Peugeot Partner goes electric

The French automaker Peugeot has announced the introduction of an all-electric variant of the Partner that will go on sale in the second quarter of next year. The vehicle uses two lithium-ion batteries with a capacity of 22.5 kW/h installed under the body on either side of the rear axle. The electric motor generates 67 hp (49 kW) and 147 lb-ft (200 Nm) of torque.

The batteries can be filled in two modes: normal (up to 16A) in 6-9 hours and fast (up to 125A) which will recharge the batteries to an 80 percent level in half an hour. With the batteries full, the Peugeot Partner Electric can provide a range of up to 105 miles (170 km).

It will be available in two lengths (4.38 meters and 4.63 meters), with the first one providing a load volume of up to 3.3 cubic meters, while the longer one has a load volume of up to 3.7 cubic meters. The payload is up to 685 kg (1510 pounds).
