Charging via UK Socket

Hi all,

Will I need to get a special charger installed, or can I get by with a regular household socket?

I've read about the ZOE's chameleon charger, and I know that charging would be fastest via a high-power specially-installed socket. I'm happy to leave the car charging overnight every night though, and can't see many occasions when I'd need to drive more than 100 miles in a day.

Can I get by with a normal power socket? Also, what happens if I'm running low on power visiting friends, will I be able to plug into someone else's regular power socket to get a bit of a boost?
