RE: Better Place time adjust
Please do not forget to send the PIN number of your credit together with your card details.....

Come on guys, good people offer free things over the web , at least try to read the details before
Jumping to wrong conclusion .

The Facebook link is for Israeli group on face book many friends are former better place employes that like to help , most of it not useful as it is Hebrew, but try to look at group file , many files are in English .

This whole thread needs removing. Where's the moderation?

RE: Better Place time adjust
Why? There has been no overt advertising - and there is a lot to be said for enthusiastic endeavours. Whether I would choose to provide financial details is a different matter, and I think our members should be able to make up their own minds.

If I was based in Israel, the contact may well be useful. Or not - a mod cannot decide.

RE: Better Place time adjust
They're asking for credit card pin numbers ffs.

And you're happy for that? Questionable choice. Roll over and let a possible fraud to potentially occur? Why not just continue to allow the various posts for porn and movies that have proliferated on here of late? That's just an enthusiastic endeavour too?

RE: Better Place time adjust
So because they ask - that's somehow criminal? Where does personal responsibility end and the moderated forum now required to protect those who are too stupid to know any better? They clearly need more help from their peers than what the Internet will do to them.

Show me evidence that there's a scam and I'll remove it. But if you are suggesting everyone seeking CC numbers is up to no good, a lot of commerce will stop. A genuine entrepreneur has to start somewhere - caveat emptor has applied for years and long before the Internet. Why do you feel it is irrelevant now?

RE: Better Place time adjust
It's not asking for a card number that is suspicious. It's asking for the card's PIN.

RE: Better Place time adjust
And that's another point - some folk call the CVV a PIN, but then how many people on being asked for their date of birth routinely give it without a second's thought? Should this not similarly be prevented? As always, it is the consumer who must make the judgement call. Incompetence isn't the exclusive domain of the retailer!

RE: Better Place time adjust
I'm with Eep on this one. No-one whould EVER ask for your PIN and any site that does so is either incompetent or worse.

In these days of fast-moving technology many people find it hard to keep up and need guidance, "caveat emptor" is getting harder and harder for the average person to handle. It may be true that some people say PIN when they mean CVV, though I've not met one of these yet but even if erronioulsy asked for a PIN, if that's what's handed over then the gates are wide open to the possibillity of fraud.

RE: Better Place time adjust
You overlooked my first sentence. Have you any proof that the requestor actually required a PIN rather than as CVV (which IS required to process a CC payment) do also remember that English may not be their first language.

However, whilst technology may well move 'fast' (we've only had PIN's for what - 40 years?) it has never been good sense to give anyone your personal information, but the gatekeeper is you - not someone else who believes there is a possibility there may be skulduggery going on (with no proof).

There has been no other exhortations to supply this information from this poster so clearly it is not a sustained attack to mislead. If it continues, I might change my opinion but the mod brief is for a light touch and I am happy to oblige. Sorry if this offends anyone's sensibilities, but at the moment, this - and the subsequent comments are warning enough.

I'm a "Post-BP" Fluence ZE owner from Denmark, and I'm as well struckling with the time adjustment issue. Did anybody here get instructions from gnrgy as described in mail below?

Besides that Gnrgy is also providing Zoe compatible chargers and can support Better Place chargers and vehicles. Feel free to direct people for support.
